Becoming a Client

The process of becoming a client at the Mansell & Mansell is as important as any aspect of their representation of you in furtherance of your rights. There is no charge for this initial consultation. If it still feels like a good fit, then the client signs a retainer agreement with Mrs. Mansell. During the initial consultation, the client also signs an authorization that allows the firm to collect any and all medical information, asset-related records, and, if appropriate, tax records. The firm will do all the necessary investigation and location of these records, which can be very time-consuming. However, you do not have to worry - the firm will do this for you as part of its service.

In order to expedite the process of advancing your claim, it may be advisable, depending on the situation, to bring the following to your appointment, if any or all of them are available:

  • Copy of the official Will or Trust document
  • Copy of any and all available assets
  • Any and all tax records you can locate
  • Any correspondence that would indicate your loved one's intent with the assets
  • Any court documents
  • Any documents sent to you by anyone involving this matter

From this point, you don't need to worry. You won't have to deal with the probate court directly or anyone challenging and/or attempting to collect from the estate. Mansell & Mansell will take things from there and pursue your claim and your rights to the fullest extent of the law.
